The golden rule of travel money, is never to buy your travel money at the airport. No matter the time of year, or the provider you choose, the rate will ALWAYS be the worst at the airport. If you get to the airport and haven’t already got your travel money, they know that you will pay whatever the rate is, you don’t have a choice! So plan ahead and make sure you have your travel money before you get to the airport, or you will be lumbered with the worst rate possible.
